Pt Bhimsen Joshi

Pt Bhimsen Joshi (1922-) from Karnataka, India is probably the most prominent vocalist of Hindustani classical music. Panditji is now admitted to Sahyadri Super Speciality Hospital. We pray for his speedy recovery.
Here are my five favorite performances of Panditji.

Young Architect

Today, I met Jharana Shrestha, 9, a young architect from Yamdi, Kaski. She goes to Pascal Academy to study in third grade. The beautiful house that she is sitting aside is designed by her. Small and cozy place, yet a beautiful one.

Watching her, I recalled my young days when we used to play in the sand hills making all the roads and bridges. I wish to see her work in future also. I imagine she would see the picture some 15-20 years from now and would be lost in the reminiscence like me today.

fantacy flows like the flood of flop flicks
fringe of her fuzzy frizz flip over my face
frail faith fuses with the firm one
fresh fragnance reaches the far frontier

flashing eyes of fans following the flusterd faces
enjoing the feast of fried fish in this famine
funnybone tangling in the football friction
falling are the feathers from the fedora

my wishes are due to all my frends
(forgive me but forget not)
my tone is rude... i roar, i cry, i sob and burry myself into the mystic mood...
so the frightend fairy took the french leave
perhaps to refresh or to adopt herself

oh! frenzy phoenix ! my friend !
i'm comming to join you
let's burn ourselves into ashes
and let's live a fantasic life again

flowers are blooming and the mountain shines
chill nights are over and the sun comes out
i'm happy to declare i'm in the moon
( i would violate the fifth amendment )
i would leap to get the folkmaid at twnty-ninth
